Peer review process
The Applied Aspects of Information Technology employs a double-anonymous peer review model to ensure fairness, impartiality, and adherence to the highest academic standards. In this model, both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the evaluation process.
Stages of the Review Process

- formatting compliance,
- relevance to the journal's scope,
- originality using plagiarism detection tools (e.g., StrikePlagiarism).
2.2. Manuscripts not meeting basic standards may be desk-rejected
3. Assignment
3.1. The editor assigns at least two independent experts in the relevant field
3.2. Reviewers receive a blinded version of the manuscript
3.3. Reviewers with conflicts of interest are excluded.
4. Peer Review Evaluation

Reject (see 3-Review-Template)
5. Author Revisions
5.1. If revisions are needed, authors receive anonymous comments and a deadline 5.2. Authors must provide a point-by-point response (see 4-Authors-Respond).
6. Final Editorial Decision
6.1. The editor reviews the revised manuscript and decides whether:
- it meets quality standards and accepted,
- further changes are needed – re-review,
- concerns remain unresolved – rejected.
6.2. The final decision is communicated to the authors.
The double-anonymous review system ensures objectivity, reduces bias, and enhances trust in the published research. The journal adheres to COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) peer review guidelines.
